We are a busy family of four with two small children, both girls to keep us on our toes with their ever changing must do hobbies. At the moment it’s ice-skating who knows what it will be next...One thing at least that’s constant is how much they adore Boo. From the day she entered our lives she has bought us nothing but pure pleasure.

We had always wanted the girls to grow up with a dog and experience that special bond and unconditional love from them as we both had as children. They were 2 and 3 years old at the time so it was really important to us that we chose the right breed for them as well as us. We didn’t want to rush into anything straight away after all this was a massive commitment so we wanted to take our time choosing the breed. I myself have always loved Old English Sheep dogs but we made a decision early on in our search that our new companion was to be small. It was nearly 1 year later when we discovered the Coton de Tulear on the Internet...WOW...thats the only way we can describe our reaction to this wonderful little white dog. We’d never even heard of this breed before but within minutes were smitten. Not only were they beautiful they seemed to tick all the right boxes for a family companion as well. The more we researched the more intrigued we became. We decided we had to meet some of these little chaps in person so in 2006 we headed to Crufts. We spoke with many of the breeders there and met some amazing Cotons and were bowled over not only by their truly heart melting appearance but their infectious and charismatic personalities too...we were hooked!

Through careful breeding Cotons have remained a relatively healthy breed and one thing we had learnt from our research is how rare the Coton de Tulear are, although good or bad this is slowly changing. We contacted lots of breeders for information and advice one of them being Cotontastick a fantastic web site with lots of great info and after lots of correspondence with Julia Smith Boo finally joined our family in April 2007 and was certainly worth the wait. She made a massive impact on our lives and has certainly lived up to our list of very high expectations of her early on in our search for the perfect pet. Now we have 3 more Cotons, Missy and Candy are from Boo’s first litter and Cassius is our beautiful boy also from Cotontastick. They are all thoroughly adored by family and friends alike and have definitely put their doggy stamp on all our hearts.
